Want to join the lab?
I am always interested in hearing from prospective students and postdocs who want to join the lab! We work on a wide variety of projects and topics, so please review the website and our publications to see where your interests might align best with ours. If interested, please email Dr. Jean-Pierre Desforges to start a discussion about possibilities. In your email, make sure to include why you are interested, how you are a good fit, and provide a CV/resume and a copy of your transcript. Not all projects are fully funded, so all students are strongly encouraged to try to secure external funding for their research (NSERC, Research Manitoba, W. Garfield Weston, etc.). Please get in touch early before funding deadlines and we can help plan your application. Undergraduates are also encouraged to get in touch! |
Current Opportunities
MSc and PhD positions: I am looking for MSc and/or PhD students with experience and interest with in vitro experimental work and TKTD modeling. Potential projects will involve developing assays with commercial cell lines as well as cells from marine mammals to screen for toxicity of legacy and emerging chemicals of concern. Modeling chemical bioaccumulation and toxicity in vitro will be another important component of these projects. Looking for students to start in 2023 and that can apply for external funding in the fall (e.g., NSERC). See full details in attached PDF.
